Fortunate to have been raised on a cattle ranch in Montana, from an early age, I learned to appreciate the scenic beauty and peaceful serenity of the great outdoors while being surrounded by my pets.
My passion for photographing animals evolved due to my beloved cat Clyde. Knowing my time with him was coming to an end, I began taking photos to create a one-of-a-kind calendar I could share with all that knew and loved him. It was indeed a labor of love and after 18+ wonderful years-when, that painful day came; I had those months in pictures to look back on.
I have two new four-legged friends but must say Clyde was impossible to replace. The calendar has been reprinted many times because those memories are as valuable to me today as they were when he was my little shadow.
I love the challenge of working with animals as a subject … capturing their natural moments, their energy and character, the reality of their life is so rewarding.
